The wedding day "dress code" is disco cocktail. That means sequins, bright colors, shimmer, loud prints, feathers, funky jumpsuits, tinsel jackets, blue powder suits, metallics, platform shoes...it's really up to your interpretation. Wear something you've always wanted to wear but worry you can't pull off. Put on that neon green lamé dress (of any length) and cowboy boots or plaid blazer someone told you was "too much" to wear to a wedding. Upstage the bride!! Have fun and be bold! It's a party, after all. (But more importantly, we want you to be comfortable and present to celebrate with us. So don't feel obligated to diverge from the tried-and-true if that's not your style.)
Is there a room block?
Yes! The Le Méridien is 1 block away from the venue in Cambridge. Guests can make reservations by booking via the online link (see "Travel" tab) or by calling the following number: 1-800-543-4300 and asking for the Group rate for the Dauer-Roberts Wedding Block. There are 20 rooms reserved and they are first-come-first-serve. The last day for guests to book their reservations at the discounted rate will be 07/23/2025.
Is the venue accessible?
The entire wedding, including bathrooms, will be at the same location (indoors and outdoors) on one level with no stairs. The ceremony will be a cozy mix of seated and standing room only for approximately 30 minutes- please reach out to Emmett or Sarah so we can make sure there is a chair reserved for you if you need to be seated for the entirety of the ceremony.
Is there parking at the venue?
There is parking available to guests at the hotel block and a handful of parking spots in the lot behind the venue. There is also metered street parking on Mass Ave. A "Cambridge pro-tip" alternative for those driving into the city is to park your car in the lot at Alewife for the entirety of your stay and use public transportation or uber while in the area.
Can I bring my significant other?
Please reach out to us if you would like to bring someone who was not included on your invitation.
Is this a child-free wedding?
No! Whether or not you bring your kids is up to you.
What if my mailing address changes in between Save-the-dates and formal invitations going out? What if my mailing address changes after the wedding?
Please text or email Emmett or Sarah with your updated address.
What should I do if I feel sick?
If you have cold/flu symptoms, we ask that you please take a rapid test as close as possible to the wedding day and stay home if you test positive. We'll miss you but we can find a way to celebrate together another time.
Is this a Jewish wedding?
Sarah is Jewish and Emmett is not. The wedding will be Jew-ish in a way that feels meaningful to both of us. Rabbi Noyo is officiating the ceremony and they are helping us include several rituals that you can learn about in our Ceremony Zine! 😊 💖 The reception is not Kosher - pork and shellfish will be served - and the event is happening on a Friday night, which is Shabbat.
