Chris and Emmi met last July through Chris's Aunt Stephanie. Their first date was a mountain bike ride where Chris' poor navigation skills lead them to a lake that according to him was "right around the corner." However, they found the lake 20 corners and 9 miles later. Emmi decided to give Chris a second chance, and took him boating with her family for their second date. She immediately forgave him and decided she really like him! From that date, not a week went by that they didn't see each other. Fall semester came and Chris had to leave for school back to Provo. From there they lived for the weekends, and Facetime became their best friend.

November 26, 2016 Chris surprised Emmi by taking her to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to a beautiful look out looking over the Grand Tetons. While Emmi standing there clueless, Chris got down on one knee and asked Emmi to weigh this question against God's creations: Would she marry him for time and all eternity in the temple? Of course she said yes! Their relationship continues to be filled with laughter, a love for adventure, and a desire to make each other happy. May 13th will be a day to remember, and is a day they absolutely cannot wait for.
