We recommend for those flying from the US, flying to Paris and from Paris flying into Bordeaux . If you prefer to travel by train from Paris, the are several train stations. Below is step by step instructions:

Step 1: Flight from Paris to Bordeaux

Departure Airport in Paris: Paris has two main airports:

Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) – northeast of the city center, accessible via RER B train.

Orly Airport (ORY) – south of the city center, accessible via Orlyval + RER B or by bus.

Both airports offer frequent flights to Bordeaux.

Flight Options: Book a flight to Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport (BOD). Several airlines operate direct flights from Paris to Bordeaux, which take about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Step 2: Train from Bordeaux to La Réole

From Bordeaux Airport to Bordeaux-Saint-Jean Train Station:

Take the Navette 30’Direct Shuttle Bus from Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport to Bordeaux-Saint-Jean Train Station. The shuttle runs frequently, and the journey takes around 30 minutes.

Train from Bordeaux to La Réole:

Once at Bordeaux-Saint-Jean, take a regional TER train to La Réole. Trains run regularly, and the trip takes about 40–50 minutes.

Step 3: Taxi or Local Transport from La Réole to Saint-Ferme

Distance: Saint-Ferme is about 18 km (approximately 20 minutes by car) from La Réole.

Options:

Taxi: Taxis are available at La Réole train station; however, booking one in advance might be wise.

Rideshare: You can also check local rideshare apps for availability.

Dane and Emmy will have a rental car that will be able to pick people up from the airport and train station up until 3pm on Wednesday the arrival day.
