Our Story

Nicholas and Enya met in 2014, working for Nile Catering in Mountlake Terrace, WA. Nick earned a spot as a Lead Server and Enya was the new recruit. The two worked harmoniously for over a year, developing feelings for one another with each event they worked. In December 2015, the Nile hosted a Christmas party that they both attended. It was made clear that night that there was a spark between the two. Before bidding adieu, Enya surprised Nick with a kiss. Shortly after, Nick asked if Enya would spend New Years Eve with him. As midnight drew closer to the end of 2015, the couple climbed out of a window and onto a rooftop to watch the fireworks. The clock struck midnight, and the rest is history.

After becoming an official couple in early 2016, Nile catering closed down. Nick started work at UPS and Enya began waitressing near her University. The couple went from coworkers to navigating their new professions and making more time for each other in their personal lives. They found it came rather easy!

A new year began and Nick and Enya had found their stride. The couple fell in love and kicked off a life full of adventure!

Late 2017, the couple moved in together. They rented a house in Seattle, WA with 4 close friends. Here, they shared a space for the first time and discovered just how much they love each others company.

Nick and Enya were in full-force young adult mode! Dancing at music festivals, exploring the great outdoors, and hosting festive shindigs at their house. It's possible they didn't sit still this whole year!

The pair said goodbye to living with multiple roommates and moved in with Michael, Nick's dad. Enya graduated from University and the couple continued their grand adventures.

Nick and Enya decided it was time to try something new. They packed their bags and moved to Oregon. Coincidentally, the same week Covid-19 shut down began. As shelter-in-place was instated, the two were cozying up in their new digs. This was the first time the couple lived on their own and found best friendship in each other.

While quarantine brought unique challenges, Nick and Enya spent their free time exploring new surroundings. They hiked uncharted mountains, camped in National Parks, and took drives to the Oregon coast to cool off from city life.

While Nick continued his work with UPS in Eugene, Enya landed a new job that would bring the couple back to the greater Seattle area. The pair packed up their belongings and said farewell to their life as Oregonians. They were welcomed by their close friends in Edmonds, WA and embraced living with roommates again (& a cat)!

Nick and Enya have always aspired to explore the world together. In 2022 they finally took their first ever plane ride together and flew to beautiful Tulum, Mexico.

Nick rang in the New Year by proposing to Enya on the beach in Edmonds, WA. He wrote an eloquent speech, which Enya asked him to repeat shortly after the proposal because she was too excited to hear a single word the first time.
