Our story begins with a simple crush during our senior year of high school.
We shared a few classes together but never spoke. I had thought that Eric was so cute, however we had little interaction and circled in different groups. I believed Eric to be one of the "cool kids" while I danced and sang in the music department. On the last day of senior year, Eric stood up for me from negative comments and sat with me the entirety of the period. He shared with me about his love of music and how impressed he was that I had been open to pursuing theater in high school and performing. We exchanged social media information and left to pursue our own goals and aspirations, losing touch with one another.
Eric served in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate for 4 years and traveled far from home, learning hard lessons and coming into his own. He visited Korea, Singapore, and Guam while sailing the Pacific.
I pursued my education and received my Bachelor's in Sociology from Cal State Fullerton and began working with children, finding my passion for helping others.
After many relationship blunders, we reconnected on facebook....or I may have trapped him into talking to me.
Whichever sounds better. Eric was stationed out in Washington while finishing his service and I had a previously scheduled summer vacation to the rainy state and we set up our first two dates to be in Seattle after I arrived.
Our first date was spent happily walking in wrong directions and chatting away, catching up with one another after many years away. Our first kiss was during a happy hour Karaoke time at a Gay Bar in Capital Hill to Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke". The beginning to many odd and specific stories that we shared over the years.
Eric and I have been proud to build a strong relationship centered around honesty and humor. As everyone experiences hardships in their time together, I have seen us struggle and become stronger as we mature and grow our little family. We welcomed our two baby kitties, Pepper in summer of 2020 and Olive in summer of 2022, we talk about them constantly and love them immensely.
We want to thank you for your excitement and love for us as we begin this new journey together. We ask for support and guidance into marriage and starting our new family as one. We love you and can't wait to celebrate with everyone!
