It all started in 2017 when Eric asked if he could sit next to Mackenzie in their World Religions class. Mackenzie was the ONLY girl in this class so naturally Eric wanted to sit with her. Mackenzie was less than impressed as she enjoyed the separation from all the boys in her class. However from the kindness in her heart she told Eric he could sit there.

From that point on Eric and Mackenzie began to talk every day and looked forward to that class more than anything! Eventually numbers were finally exchanged so they could assist one another on homework. Mackenzie did a solid for Eric and sent him the answers one time. Eric agreed that he owed Mackenzie and she replied with "I take payment in food." As she panicked waiting for a reply, Eric agreed to take her to Chipotle. From this date on Eric and Mackenzie talked everyday and officially began dating on May 13th, 2017 which was also their first prom together.

Since then, Eric and Mackenzie have worked to pursue a relationship that keeps Christ at the center of it all. They know wholeheartedly that God has blessed them with one another and are ready to lean into the plan He has for them in marriage.
