Eric and Celine went to the same middle school together, Fulton Middle School. It all started when Eric received a DM on Facebook messenger from Celine. Celine was a very shy person back then and didn't know how to talk to people or even start a conversation. One day, Celine was hanging out with her cousin, Teresa. They were both bored and decided to look through Celine's friends list on Facebook Messenger. When they came across Eric's name on Facebook messenger, Celine said "OOO, I think he's cute." So Teresa said "Okay, lets message him." Teresa was the one that help start and guide the conversation. From there, Eric and Celine kept on talking and eventually Eric asked Celine to be his girlfriend. Eric even jokingly said one time "What if I am being catfished right now." Little did he know, Celine's cousin was the one that initially started the conversation.

Eric had to move to Kansas in the middle of 8th grade and so they had to do long distance, years of not seeing each other and only being able to video call and sleep on the phone together. Through many fights and break-ups throughout the long distance, their relationship grew stronger each time they came back together. They never gave up and kept fighting because they know they are each others' soulmates.

The day that they were able to finally see each other was the most amazing day. It was the last day of junior year in High School and Celine was on the way home from school. Eric decided to surprise Celine and didn't let her know that he was there. Eric was dressed in black pants and a black dress shirt with white suspenders and a white bow tie. He was holding red roses and a teddy bear. When Celine arrived home, Eric called Celine and asked where she was because he was actually walking the opposite way of her house. When Celine finally saw Eric she ran to him and hugged him. It was like a scene out of KDRAMA.

ABOUT TIME or FINALLY is what all of their family and friends said.
After 13 years together, they got engaged!! Eric had a detailed plan in his head on how and when he wanted to propose. He even got all of their friends and family to be involved. He started by asking Celine's girlfriends to message in their group chat they wanted to have a girl's day since they haven't had one in so long. Celine instantly agreed and the whole time in the group message, the girls made it seem like Celine was doing most of the planning as if the fancy picnic was her idea but in reality Eric already picked the location for the girl's picnic day and how it was going to be set up. The girls suggested everyone to dress up and look pretty because they wanted to take a lot of photos. 
The day of the Engagement, Celine met at one of her girlfriend's house because they offered to drive to the picnic location, which was at Heisler Park in Laguna Beach. When they arrived, they walked to where the picnic was set up by a professional event planning company, The Duo. It was the most beautiful set up and it had an amazing view of the ocean. Celine and her girlfriends took many photos and then one of her girlfriends suggested they wanted a change of scenery for more photos. So they took all of their belongings and walked to a different location. Celine at the time thought why are they walking so far to take pictures. 
As they were walking and reached a pathway that led to a gazebo, Celine saw her family and close friends all gathered around the walk way. That's when she realized what was going to happen. There was a videographer and photographer taking pictures of Celine walking up to the gazebo. The gazebo was beautifully decorated with fairy lights and on each fairy light string was pictures of Eric and Celine from when they started dating up until now. In the middle of the gazebo was a custom made wooden box that had Eric and Celine's name and the date they started going out engraved on the box and inside was filled with white roses and a card that had a QR code on it. 
When Celine pulled up the QR code on her phone, a YouTube video popped up and it was the video Eric asked their family and friends to put together. After the video ended was when Eric was behind Celine and she had her back towards him, he then tapped her shoulder and she turned around. He then read a beautiful letter that he had written her expressing how much he loved her and the reasons why he wants to spend the rest of their lives together. He then got on one knee with the ring and asked her to marry him. And of course, she said YES!!
