Like all great love stories, ours began in an unexpected yet perfectly fitting place — work. We both found ourselves in the car industry, navigating our careers, not knowing that one day we’d also be navigating life together.

Our first date was at Olive Garden in Maple Grove — a cozy evening filled with laughter, endless conversation, and the kind of connection that makes time fly. We talked for hours and knew right away that this was just the beginning. One week later, we went on our second date. Soon, lunch breaks at work became our favorite part of the day. A month after that first dinner, we officially became a couple.

Eric knew he was in love with Shirley when he realized that life with her was even better than his dreams.

Shirley knew she loved Eric when he surprised her with a Pusheen plushie after her trip to Chicago with her friend, Anna Blasco.

It was a sweet gesture — something to remind her of him while they were apart — and it meant everything.

Since Shirley loved Chicago so much, it made perfect sense that their first trip together would be there. It quickly became a special place for both of them. They’ve now been twice — the second time sharing the experience with Shirley’s sister Cindy and her partner Ryan.

In March 2024, we got engaged, marking the start of a new chapter.

Now, we’re counting down to June 6, 2026 — the day we’ll say “I do” in front of our dearest family and friends. We’re so excited to celebrate this day with all of you, and we can’t wait to continue writing our story together — one filled with love, laughter, adventure, and endless chapters still to come.
