Brooke met Mikaela in Freshman year of high school. We didn’t immediately click, and actually initially felt jealous over the other’s bond with mutual friend, Makenna Roehr (see below :P). Eventually, we realized that we had so much in common, and after connecting over after-school sports and a trip to Mammoth Lakes, we became lifelong friends.

Makenna and I (Mikaela) met in middle school. Makenna was the new girl that joined a little after the school year had begun, and on her first day I ran up to her and boldly introduced her to my geeky group of friends, quickly adding at the end “and now, you’re a part of the group too!” I pretty much forced her to be my friend, but I’m so glad it worked! Makenna has been a constant source of wisdom, kindness, and laughter for the past decade.

Kirsten is Mikaela’s one and only sister. We have walked through every season of life together, but it has been a special blessing to watch how Kirsten navigates marriage and motherhood. With our five year age gap, I have had the opportunity to watch and learn from the way she lives life and follows the Lord.

Sara is Mikaela’s sister-in-law (married to Seth). She has been such a sweet person to grow closer to over the years, and has been my number one hype-woman when it comes to all things wedding!

Roxana is my soon to be sister in law! It was so fun getting to be a part of her wedding, and I’m so excited to have her by our side on our wedding day!

Bethany (“Bee”) and I go waaaay back. We first met at church when we were in middle school. At the time, I thought Bee was way too cool for me. While I learned that to be true, I’m so thankful she still decided to be my friend. Over the years, our connection has only deepened. From church camps, to living in Alaska together over the summer, to getting our first apartment together in Vista, CA, and now today. I’m so thankful for all the seasons we have walked through together, and I’m so excited to have her by my side in the next one!

Lesley and I (Mikaela) first met at a church bible study. By God’s providence, we were both looking for a new living situation at the same time, and although we didn’t know each other well, we decided to move into an apartment together. It didn’t take long for our friendship to grow deep. Spontaneous adventures, deep talks extending late into the night, and worship nights filled our time together. Lesley is wise beyond her years, selfless, kind-hearted, and has the most fun outlook on life. Her friendship has impacted me so much through the years and I’m so excited to have her by my side on my wedding day.
