OUR STORY

Eric always likes to tell people we met the "old fashion way"...on Bumble.

Our first date was on Friday, September 14th, 2018. Eric had free tickets from work to see Dispatch at The Armory, so we ventured downtown and spent the next 7 hours together and have been inseparable ever since.

After two years of dating, we moved into a 1 Bedroom + Den apartment in Mendota Heights, MN where we spent the next two years living and working remotely together during the pandemic.

In January of 2023, we closed on our first home in White Bear Lake, MN. Eight months later on Friday, August 18th, Eric proposed at our home after spending the evening at the lake.

HOW WE CHOSE OUR VENUE

Eric picked up golf during the pandemic, so we were always looking for deals to get out and try new courses. One weekend, we decided to make the trek down to Gopher Hills Golf Course in Cannon Falls, MN and fell in love with the course/property.

We started a tradition that whenever we would play a new course we would decide on a competition (lowest score, number of putts, etc.) and whoever lost would be required to purchase the course's logo golf ball for our collection.

When we stopped in the clubhouse to purchase the golf ball, we noticed they were developing a new structure on the property and found out it was going to be a wedding venue. I remember looking at Eric joking that we would be back in a few years and sure enough it ended up being our favorite venue!

We may not be able to golf on our wedding anniversary each year (Minnesota Winters = Unpredictable), but we are excited to be able to revisit the property and reminisce on our special day over a round of golf.

We are so looking forward to celebrating with our close family and friends and cannot wait for our next chapter to begin as Husband and Wife!
