Dear Diary,

Fall 2022: We met at Six Byrd Cider! Eric thought Erin was a taken woman, so he backed off, respectfully.

January 2023: Eric attempts to talk to Erin at Six Byrd. She plays hard to get and ignores his smooth moves...

February 2023: Eric flirts with Erin at a Mardi Gras Party. Erin thinks it's a cute attempt. ;)

Shortly thereafter, Erin flees from Eric after Sunday mass because she knows he wants to talk to her.

Eric hunts Erin down. He asks her out to coffee - OLE! She says yes.

March 4: Our first date at Seedhouse coffee. 2.75 hours fly by! Erin sneakily mentions she'd love to have a large family, just to test the waters. Eric makes sure Erin knows he loves all things intellectual and music. Erin is intrigued. Eric thinks "I'd love to see this girl again". The date ends with an awkward side hug and Erin telling Eric that she's really busy for the next week leading up to her Guatemala trip.

March 5: Eric hunts Erin down after 11am mass at St. Thomas to see if she could squeeze in a dinner date the next day.

March 6: Our first dinner date at The Henry. Erin asks, "Do you like hiking?". We stayed until close chatting away, drinking wine, and eating brussel sprouts.

2 weeks pass (Erin flees the country to Guatemala)

March 19: A 3 hour walk at El Dorado resulting in bleeding feet for Erin. We discussed A Gentleman in Moscow; Eric read 2 of Erin's favorite books during their two weeks apart.

March 30: Officially bf & gf on a walk.

March 31: Eric and Erin volunteered at a fish fry, and Eric met Erin's parents. Speedy.

April - May: Eric and Erin discern together and continue to get to know each other. Erin introduces Eric to her wonderful friends and coworkers; Eric brings Erin to Six Byrd often and shares his friends and family with her.

AND they fell in LOVE - ooooh la la !!

June - July: Eric and Erin attempt long distance as Erin walks the Camino de Santiago and traipses around Europe for 7 weeks. They learned a whole lot. Erin doesn't communicate well at the end of a LONG day walking, and long distance is HARD.

July - January 2024: Reunited! Eric and Erin discern marriage even more seriously and realize life is filled to the brim and amazing together. God is so good!

Some time in here E x 2 realized that marriage sounded incredible. Peace on peace at the thought of it.

January 15: Eric proposed to Erin in the Grand Canyon with the sweetest words and the most beautiful ring. She said YES! They are over the moon ecstatic!

Wedding planning commences! In the meantime, we are getting more and more excited to enter into the sacrament of marriage and spend our lives together. God is good.

We cannot wait to see all our amazing friends and family to celebrate! We are grateful for each of you and the role you have played in our lives! Thank you.

September 14: WEDDING DATE! Woohoo! Can't wait to see you!
