WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED WITH MY ALL-INCLUSIVE TRIP?
Although your trip includes food and drinks [alcoholic and non-alcoholic], resort activities, and endless fun, there are few items you'll want to take into consideration:
Tips! Gratuities are technically included with your travel package, but the staff is always appreciative of the kind gesture. The employees of the resort work extremely hard and a few dollars will go a long way!
Tours, excursions and spa treatments. You can bill these services to your room and pay with credit card or cash. Before or after the wedding, feel free to book to your heart's content and have a fun, relaxing vacay!
Travel insurance. This is not included but it is recommended when booking your trip. Pricing and coverage options will be provided with your registration.
SHOULD I BRING CASH?
It's up to you, but we highly recommend for tips and other excursions. Having traveled to resorts before, the wedding couple typically takes about $200-300 USD for tips and a credit card for room charges and miscellaneous shopping. USD is widely accepted and you can get pesos from ATMs at the resort, if needed (make sure you notify your credit card company that you're traveling to the DR).
DO I NEED A PASSPORT?
Yes. In order to travel internationally, a valid passport is required. Be sure to check the expiration date to make sure your passport will be valid during your trip!
How much will it cost?
Our travel page has information about cost per person, per night. This will depend on how many people are staying in a room and how long you want to stay. A minimum of 3 nights is required to book through the room block. Remember, all costs include food, drinks, and activities at the resort!
How do I book a room?
Please see our Travel page for information. You must book through our travel agent/room block in order to be counted in the wedding. Fees are charged if you are not booking through the room block. Please be sure to contact Erica or Trevor if you have any questions about booking outside of the block.
WHAT IF I am unable to attend due to other commitments or financial constraints?
That is ABSOLUTELY okay! We understand that attending a wedding in another country is a huge time and financial commitment. We know Not everyone will be able to attend the wedding, and although we would love to have you there, we would never want to put pressure on someone to travel. If you are unable to attend, please be sure to still RSVP to ensure an accurate headcount for planning.
HOW MANY NIGHTS ARE MOST PEOPLE STAYING?
We anticipate that most of the group will stay approximately 4-7 nights to make a vacation out of the wedding, but we understand not everyone will be able to do that. A minimum of 3 nights is required to attend our wedding events and to receive the room in the price block. Keep in mind that the wedding is on Saturday, 1/11/25, and we will be doing a welcome dinner on Friday, 1/10/25.
WHY CAN'T I BOOK OUTSIDE OF YOUR TRAVEL AGENT?
In order to be included in our wedding events (e.g., ceremony, reception, etc.), the resort requires all wedding guests to book through one agent (i.e., Cherie Peninger) and guests must stay at the Hard Rock Punta Cana.
Please contact Cherie if you have any questions about booking at groups@islandvows.net or 269-350-3058
WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANT DATES TO CONSIDER?
July 1st, 2024: RSVPs and deposits are due. Pricing and availability are guaranteed for rooms deposited through September 24th, 2024, but all rooms in our group will be released on this date. Please contact Erica/Trevor if you wish to book/RSVP after the requested date.
Full/Final payment is due by September 24th, 2024.
CAN I STAY AT A RESORT OTHER THAN THE HARD ROCK PUNTA CANA AND ATTEND THE WEDDING?
In order to be included in our wedding events (e.g., ceremony, reception, etc.), the resort requires all wedding guests to book through one agent (i.e., Cherie Peninger) and guests must stay at the Hard Rock Punta Cana.
