Tommy and Erica met in July 2023. Their first date was to the Coon Rapids 4th of July Carnival where they spent nearly 10 hours together and instantly, they both knew they had found something special. Two days after their first date, they met again to watch fireworks together and their love story flourished from there.

The two began dating, discovering their mutual love for music, horror movies, the outdoors, playing darts, going out, as well as staying in. They went on their first camping trip together in the summer of 2023 to Pillager, MN. This was the first of many fishing trips for Tommy and Erica.

Tommy and Erica celebrated their birthdays together for the first time at the end of the summer. Their birthdays are back to back, Tommy's being August 19th and Erica's being the 20th.

The following months of dating included a trip to the MN State Fair, Go-Karting, bowling, the pumpkin patch, and evenings spent at one of the couple's favorite spots, St. Paul Tap.

In the winter of 2024, Erica moved into Tommy's townhome in Coon Rapids. Here they shared many memories of merging their lives and creating a home together along with Tommy's daughter, Grace and Erica's beloved cat, Leo. They enjoyed cooking for one another, having movie nights, playing games like Scrabble and Mario Party, and spending time with family and friends.

The couple went on their first vacation together in September 2024 to La Jolla California. It was Erica's first time seeing the ocean. The two enjoyed a sea kayak tour, swimming in the ocean, exploring, and eating lots of yummy food.

In their second year of dating, Tommy and Erica hosted their first Thanksgiving dinner together with friends, enjoyed Christmas with their families, and spent time doing things like ice skating, ice fishing, hiking, and golfing. They also began dreaming of buying a home together.

After months of house hunting, the couple found their dream home in June 2025.

For their 2nd anniversary, Tommy and Erica took a trip along the North Shore to Grand Marais, where they stayed in an off-grid cabin deep in the woods. On the second day of their trip, the two stopped at the local coffee shop before walking along Artist's Point in the harbor of Grand Marais, where Tommy proposed to Erica.

After celebrating their engagement, and coming home from their trip, the two then closed on their house in Coon Rapids and began moving, renovating, and decorating, as well as wedding planning.

The couple looks forward to a lifetime of creating memories together, further building a home filled with love, and of course, celebrating their wedding day with their loved ones.
