Our Wedding

We met at the end of September 2019 at Tommy’s Tavern. Erica was out with her best friend, Caitlin, and Andrew with a group of his friends, including his best man and best friend Will, who Erica knew growing up as well. As luck would have it, Caitlin knew his group from high school too, so we all ended up sitting together. A little wine-drunk and in full “drunk therapist” mode, he struck up a conversation—and by the end of the night, he stopped her and asked for her number. It wasn’t an instant yes. In fact, he had to work for it—dinner invitations, movie plans, you name it, she turned them down. But eventually, she said yes to a simple first date. He picked her up from her best friend Melissa’s house, and drove to the reservoir and talked for hours. After that, everything started to feel natural. We’d spend hours on the phone, and what began as something unexpected started to grow into something meaningful. Our second date was pumpkin picking. He came to pick her up, and her parents just happened to be watching from the window. Her dad sent her mom out to scope things out as he said “Jean he looks like a nice kid go out there”—and, naturally, Andrew turned on the charm, calling her beautiful and all. Since then, we’ve shared so much together—funny times, hard times, quiet nights, big adventures, and everything in between. Every season has brought something new, and every day together has been its own kind of beautiful. We can’t wait for this next chapter and all the ones still to come.
