Q + A
Can I stay on-site at The Fields?
While our wedding will have a full venue buy-out for the weekend, there is only a limited number of cabins and tents. Erica & Josh have sent personal invitations to those welcome to stay on-site. For those who need accommodations elsewhere, see the 'Travel' section for recommended hotels nearby.
Is there parking at The Fields?
There is limited parking on-site, so we'd like to reserve those spots for our overnight guests. There will be a shuttle from the Hampton Inn and we recommend those who are staying at the hotel to take the shuttle.
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
We recommend arriving by 4PM as it is a long walk from the entrance lot to the ceremony site. We will have a golf cart escorting guests who may not want to walk the distance.
Can I bring my kids?
We love your little ones, but we've opted for an adults-only celebration. We hope you can take the night off for some relaxation and fun!
Is everything outside?
Yep! Plan for the ceremony and cocktail hour to be fully outdoors, and we will have a tent for the reception. Check the weather and be sure to bring a light jacket (if needed) and shoes you can walk in on gravel, grass, or mulch!
What does a 'garden party formal' dress code mean?
We want to blend formality with the relaxed, natural setting of The Fields. Think elegant yet comfortable attire suitable for outdoor conditions. We prefer suits for men and cocktail / formal dresses for women. Don't be afraid of colors, florals, prints or textures! Remember this is Southwest Michigan in late September, so be sure to check the weather before you go.
Where do I RSVP?
Formal invitations will be sent out at a later date with instructions on how, where, and when to RSVP.
