Dylan Coonradt and Erica McGee’s Story

Dylan and Erica's story began in the most unexpected of places—during Erica’s physical therapy sessions after a ski injury in March 2022. After tearing her ACL on the slopes, Erica found herself in Dylan's care, starting a journey of recovery that neither of them anticipated would lead to something much deeper.

What started as a simple doctor-patient relationship quickly blossomed into something more profound. Through the shared challenges of physical therapy, a bond formed—one rooted in trust, patience, and plenty of laughter. Though Erica’s focus was on healing, it didn’t take long for her to notice Dylan’s warmth and genuine care, not only for her recovery but for her as a person.

Though their time together started with appointments, it wasn’t long before they were spending time outside the clinic, sharing conversations that went far beyond knee exercises. Whether they were laughing about life’s little quirks or encouraging each other through tough moments, they quickly realized their connection was something truly special.

The Little Moments That Made it All Possible

Throughout their relationship, small but meaningful moments have strengthened their bond. Dylan fondly remembers how he would miss Erica whenever she was out of town and unable to attend PT. His decision to get his own apartment quickly turned into an inside joke, as he found himself spending more time at Erica’s house than his own.

Together, they took on the responsibility of caring for a second puppy, a decision that brought them even closer. Through the shared joy of raising a dog, their connection deepened.

Dylan admires how Erica motivates him to step outside his comfort zone, always encouraging him to try new things. He also deeply appreciates her passion for living a healthy lifestyle, which has had such a positive influence on his own life.

The Proposal

On December 26, 2024, Dylan decided to take their love story to a whole new level—one that would forever be etched in both their hearts. With the help of Erica’s family, Dylan orchestrated a surprise proposal that would take her breath away.

Erica’s older sister, Kristin, played the perfect accomplice, casually mentioning that a community Christmas light show was happening at the park near Erica’s home. Excited for the festive outing, Erica didn’t think twice when she and Dylan headed there that evening. But as they walked through the quiet path, Erica noticed something was off—there was no sign of a light show.

Instead, she was greeted by a breathtaking scene: the park was beautifully illuminated by lanterns, each one softly glowing with the words, "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" Dylan had thoughtfully arranged them in a circle, surrounded by rose petals that shimmered in the soft light. At that moment, surrounded by the peaceful glow of the lanterns and the love of their journey together, Dylan dropped to one knee and asked Erica the most important question of their lives.

And of course, she said "YES!" The two shared a moment of pure magic—an unforgettable start to their next chapter together.

Planning for the Big Day

After the proposal, the couple began dreaming of a wedding that would reflect their journey—a celebration surrounded by family and friends. On June 21, 2025, they’ll be saying "I do" at Chateau des Fleurs in Eagle, Idaho.

The venue was chosen not only for its stunning scenery and romantic ambiance but also because of its close proximity to where Erica grew up. It’s the perfect location to bring their families and friends together, offering the ease of access while providing the breathtaking beauty of Idaho’s landscapes. Surrounded by lush gardens, rolling hills, and a picturesque French chateau, the setting offers the perfect backdrop for the next chapter in their love story.
