April 2014The Winsor Prom. Erica and Sean weren’t there together, but they found themselves on the same party bus. Erica recalls Sean’s black-and-white tuxedo shoes, his carefree spirit, and, most memorably, his arm wave dance move. She thought it was a bit silly, but charming nonetheless. May 7, 2016Though Erica and Sean were at different colleges, at 4 a.m., Sean sent a bold DM on Instagram: “I’m sorry, but you’re gorgeous.” Erica was taken aback, but graciously replied, “Oh my goodness, thank you so much!” May 2016 - June 2019Over the next few years, every few months, Sean would message Erica, reminding her how beautiful she was. At first, Erica thought it was amusing, but soon it became one of those funny stories she loved to tell. June 2019With just two weeks between graduation and moving to Philly for grad school, Erica took the first step and reached out to Sean, suggesting they grab drinks while she was home. Sean enthusiastically agreed. June 25, 2019Their first date was set. Sean had suggested mini-golf and ice cream, but the rain had other plans. Instead, Erica took the reins and showed him around Canton before heading to her favorite ice cream spot, Crescent Ridge. She ordered lemon sherbet with rainbow sprinkles—a choice Sean found a bit unusual, but one he was happy to accept. July 2019After Erica moved to Philly for grad school, Sean made the effort to visit her twice—once by surprise in New York City, then again in Philly. During these trips, they developed an unexpected love for cheesesteaks and realized their shared love for food. Both Erica &amp; Sean began to think this might be something more than just a summer fling.﻿August 20, 2019After a Red Sox game where they found themselves sitting behind a pole and unable to see much of the action, Erica turned to Sean and, without hesitation, asked, "Should we date?" And Sean, with no second thoughts, said "yes." July 26, 2024Flash forward 5 years later, Sean tells Erica they are going to a charity gala so that she would get all dressed up. Right before they left their house, Sean says that they need to pick up ice cream for the party at Crescent Ridge. Erica immediately catches on because that is a ridiculous thing to say. Nonetheless, they arrive and Sean suggests they get ice cream before they go to the party. Erica and Sean sit down at the same bench they had their first date at and Sean nervously scarfs down his ice cream in 20 seconds. He then asks her to stand up as he drops to a knee and the rest is history.
