Maui Travel Suggestions

We are so excited for you guys to join us in Hawaii for our wedding ceremony! Maui is a magical place with lots to do and see and we can't wait to share it with you all! Please check our wedding discord for the latest updates and advice!

We are so excited at the idea of sharing these special moments with you all.

Kahului Airport

1 Keolani Pl, Kahului, HI 96732, USA
(808) 872-3830

There are two airports on Maui. You should be flying into Kahului Airport for simplicity and proximity to the wedding venue.

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort And Spa

200 Nohea Kai Dr, Lahaina, HI 96761, USA
(808) 661-1234

This is the venue of the wedding! It is also a stunning resort! Although a pricier option, for those who favor simplicity this might be a great place to stay for part or all of your time on Maui. Since we are such a small group there are no room blocks set up for us. However you can make reservations either online or by calling the hotel directly. It should be noted that certain dates (weekends specifically) are blacked out online unless your stay consists of 6 days or more. To get around this block, call the hotel directly and mention you are attending a wedding on the property. They will be able to get you booked!

Other Accommodation Suggestions

We were big fans of staying in Airbnb's on our last trip to the Hawaiian islands. This was a great way to have a "real" experience here living like a local. It was also very budget friendly. Last time we rented a space that could host up to 6 people and ended up spending under $800 per person for the entire 2.5 week trip on accommodations. (We traveled with a group of 5, for reference!)

Many of these properties are also in convenient locations: right on the beach or a short walk away and are part of communities that also include usage of their private pool, beach and picnic facilities. And frankly they are still luxurious and gorgeous!

Hertz Car Rental - Kahului Airport

101 Airport Rd, Kahului, HI 96732, USA
(808) 893-5200

We HIGHLY recommend renting a car or traveling with someone who is renting a car while on Maui. Although Maui is an island, it is by no means walkable. Most activities will require you to have transportation to and from. Unlike Oahu, Maui doesn't have big cities nor does it have convenient public transportation. Uber and Lyft do exist here, however they are not consistent or reliable to obtain like they are in most major cities.

We also would like to note that the island can run out of rental cars quickly. And car shortages are common during peak travel seasons. It's highly recommended that you book your rentals early on and in advance.

Don't be afraid to ask us anything!

We are so excited at the prospect of spending this time with our loved ones on Maui. If you have any questions, concerns, or are looking for recommendations or guidance, do not hesitate to reach out to either of us.
