How We Met

In the midst of 2020 and the chaos of covid, fate found a way to bring us together. Shane was down in Ft. Lauderdale for a his best friends bachelor party; and Erica booked a spontaneous girls vacation the same weekend to escape the craziness in New York and visit a new destination in Florida.

While out at a local bar the second night of vacation, us and our friends started conversation proceeding into meeting up a second night in a row. We ended up hitting it off the next night, realizing how much we had in common and bonding over the fact that we were both from up north. We exchanged phone numbers (neither of us thinking this would go anywhere), but continued to keep in touch, quickly realizing this could actually be something special.

Two months later we reconnected in Colorado, Erica accompanying Shane as his date to his best friends wedding. After that we both made the decision to give long distance a shot. For nearly two years, we flew back and forth every month to see one another.

Finally, Erica made the leap to relocate to Florida to be with Shane permanently, and the rest, as they say, is history.
