We first met December 2021 working at the front desk of our flight school, American Aviation in Northern Virginia both of us seeking additional pilot ratings - Erich as a flight instructor and Olivia as an instrument rated pilot. We began flying together in the local area, taking flights to build hours and have fun, sometimes to further locations like Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. It was soon apparent to us (and to our coworkers, friends, and family) that we had a special relationship beyond our friendship.

We started dating in April 2022 and continued to build hours flying and getting additional pilot ratings.

In 2023, we were able to spend time with family, traveling to see family in Israel along with celebrating Erich’s sister’s wedding.

January 2024 we got engaged! 

Erich works at a regional airline, flying for United Express beginning summer of 2023. Olivia continues to work towards her flight instructor rating.
