We first met in 2019 during a missions trip to Peru. At the time, we had no idea how much that trip would change our lives.

A year later, we reconnected on Instagram, and what started as casual conversations turned into a long-distance relationship. He asked me to be his girlfriend over FaceTime and I couldn’t have been more thrilled. Despite the challenges of being miles apart, we made it work and grew closer with every call, text, and zoom movie night.

In June 2021, we met up again in Peru. Erick introduced me to his whole family and many friends, and we had the most wonderful month together.

Two years later, after many visits and long distance dating, we got engaged on March 17th at our favorite beach. He blindfolded me and walked me down to the spot, and then his friends set off fireworks in the background while he asked me to marry him!
