It all started with a simple question, "do you want to go out sometime?" We were just two high-school juniors sitting in Ms. Light's English class. Sitting in the second row was Erin, behind her was Erick. We knew of each other, but had never spoken. Except for that one time when Erick spiked a volleyball in Erin's face during gym. That interaction was very different than this story.

While Erin was busy being a teacher's pet, Erick was distracted trying to make his move. His move of choice, clip pens in Erin's curls and ask her a question so she would turn around. Yes, the pens went flying and Erin's face has never been redder with embarrassment. Real smooth Erick, but somehow it worked.

After a truce was formed, an English class friendship was formed. This friendship quickly turned into hours of texting, hanging out after school, and a date to prom. We became best friends.

Fast forward a decade later. We took the trip of a lifetime to Europe, stopping at the Cliffs of Moher. We set out on a hike to find "the spot that everyone on TikTok says is the best for pictures." To Erin's surprise, Erick dropped down on one knee, and asked "will you marry me?"

You've watched us grow up. You supported us through the good and the bad. You loved us every step of the way. We hope you can join us on Friday, November 1, as these two best friends get married. We'll see you there!
