James and I met during COVID and clicked instantly, figuring out how to fall in love in a time that felt both scary and exciting. With no outside distractions, it was just the two of us, cooking each other meals, going on long walks, and discovering life together. We both value friendship and community above almost everything, so we got lucky fitting so naturally into each other’s worlds. I somehow convinced James to move to the east side, and from there we kept growing together. We traveled, explored new cities and mountains, shared so many great moments with friends, and last October got engaged in Japan. Last Christmas kicked off our biggest adventure yet. In September, we welcomed our daughter Thompson and officially became a family. Our family and friends mean everything to us. This wedding is not just a celebration of our love, it is a celebration of our love for all of you. We love you so much and thank you for being part of our lives.

WHERE TO STAY

Sadly, there are no hotels close, so If you plan on drinking, we recommend booking an Airbnb or VRBO in Rimrock or within walking distance of downtown Pioneertown. That way, you can safely walk home after the evening’s festivities. If you’re not drinking, anywhere in the Pioneertown area is just a short drive to the venue. Please keep in mind that Joshua Tree National Park is farther away, and staying in Joshua Tree or Yucca Valley means a longer drive at night on dark, windy roads. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to one of us before booking your accommodations.

If you’re looking for a true desert experience, check out Pappy &amp; Harriet's in&nbsp;Pioneertown. Originally built in the 1940s as part of a Western movie set town, Pioneertown was designed as a live-in Old West backdrop for Hollywood productions. Pappy &amp; Harriet’s began as a local cantina and has since become an iconic desert roadhouse known for live music, barbecue, and its laid-back, high-desert vibe. Today, it draws everyone from locals to major touring artists, making it a must-visit spot while you’re in town.

Downtown&nbsp;Pioneertown&nbsp;feels like stepping straight into the Old West. Built in 1946 by a group of Hollywood investors including&nbsp;Roy Rogers&nbsp;and&nbsp;Gene Autry, it was designed as a functioning movie set where cast and crew could live and film at the same time. Today, Mane Street still has its original false-front facades, wooden boardwalks, and rustic storefronts. It is a fun, walkable stop for photos, little shops, and that classic high desert charm.

If you’re hungry Saturday morning, head down the mountain to Frontier Café. It’s a pretty 10 minute drive into&nbsp;Yucca Valley&nbsp;and well worth it for a classic, no frills breakfast. This longtime local favorite is known for generous portions, strong coffee, and that cozy desert diner feel. It’s the perfect easy stop before a day of celebration!

If you love a good treasure hunt, vintage shopping around&nbsp;Yucca Valley,&nbsp;Pioneertown, and&nbsp;Joshua Tree&nbsp;is a must. Along Twentynine Palms Highway, you’ll find a stretch of eclectic shops filled with desert modern furniture, worn-in denim, vinyl, handmade ceramics, and one-of-a-kind art. Pioneertown’s Mane Street leans more Old West with Western-inspired goods and small artisan storefronts, while Joshua Tree mixes bohemian boutiques with quirky roadside gems. It’s the perfect relaxed afternoon plan, part treasure hunt, part desert daydream.

If you're staying an extra day or two, a visit to&nbsp;Joshua Tree National Park&nbsp;is one of the most iconic experiences in the high desert. Known for its otherworldly rock formations and the whimsical Joshua trees that dot the landscape, the park is perfect for scenic drives, hiking, and golden hour views. Whether you want an easy nature walk or a more adventurous climb, there are trails for every level. It is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset, when the desert light feels truly magical.

If you're staying an extra night or two, stop by The Copper Room in&nbsp;Yucca Valley. Originally opened in the 1950s during the golden age of desert hideaways, it was a favorite hangout for celebrities and pilots flying into the nearby airport. Today it has been beautifully restored, offering craft cocktails, live music, and vintage supper club vibes. It’s a fun spot for a date night feel or a stylish pre-dinner drink. Reservations are highly encouraged a month or two out!
