We love Brighton and we hope you will too - whether you decide to make a weekend of it, or you want enjoy the morning here before the wedding. We thought we'd share a few ideas with you :)
If you're a bit early and are wondering what to do, here's a few suggestions all within a stone's throw from the church :
- Take a walk around Preston Park
- Go to the Park View for a nice drink and some light bites, or a nice lunch.
- Grab a coffee at TILT or The Flour Pot Bakery
Head to the palace pier - it's a Brighton must!
You can go for a nice stroll, chance your luck in the arcade or test your nerves on the rides.
If you decide to get some seaside nostalgic food, be wary of the seagulls - they are trained criminals!
The stroll along the promenade from the Palace Pier, to the West Pier is really lovey and not too far.
PELICANO
Here's Emma posing awkwardly outside our absolute FAVOURITE coffee place in Brighton - Pelicano. They only do cake (very good cake and generous portions) and excellent coffee.
There are three locations - this one is in the North Laine which means you can have a nice snoop around all the shops.
FLOUR POT BAKERY
Not far from there is The Flower Pot Bakery, which does lovely coffee and offers a very delicious selection of sandwiches, pastries and rolls.
There is one on the seafront (by the West Pier), one in the North Laine and one vey nice one in Fiveways which is a stone's throw from our church.
Trading Post
Again there are multiple locations dotted throughout North Laine and The Lanes. They do a very good brunch here - anything with egg and there are vegan options too - yum!
Moksha
This is hands down the best for brunch in our opinion. It's opposite St Peter's Church and can get quite busy so you may need to go early!
Fika at Sea Lanes
Excellent Food. Excellent Location - what more could you want?
Brighton is THE place to be for good food. Basically there is everything here and it's rare you'll come across something rubbish! But here are a few suggestions to whet your appetite. You might also want to widen your search to Hove which also has some very lovely places to eat! You might want to book as it can get busy at the weekend.
