FAQ

What is your wedding hashtag?

#TheRicksGetHitched (get it, cause both our names have RIC/K in it?) courtesy of the ever-so creative Sandhya Subramanian. Tag any pictures you post with this so we can relive this day forever!

What is the dress code?

The dress code is "dressy casual", aka "semi formal", aka "cocktail attire". Women: cocktail dress, pant suit, jumpsuit, top/skirt, just no white. Men: suit, slacks/button up/jacket, tie optional. We just ask that your jeans and Crocs stay at home. Plan for it to be slightly chilly, as this will be partly outdoors in the fall!

What kind of venue is this?

The venue is an old trolley barn (hence, the name), so the reception will be indoors on wooden floors. The ceremony will be in the courtyard in the back of the barn on cobble stone/bricks (those who choose to wear heels SHOULD be fine, but consider this before choosing shoes). Cocktail hour will also be in this area. Prepare to be outside for about an hour and a half in the shade.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! There are parking lots adjacent to the Trolley barn at separate buildings. There is also street parking along Edgewood Ave. Police will be outside of the venue to help direct traffic. However, there are only about 75 spots. We ALWAYS recommend taking Uber or Lyft if you plan on enjoying some alcoholic beverages with us, so please be responsible and do not drink and drive.

Are kids allowed?

While we LOVE your kids, we kindly ask that your children stay at home while you party with us. We want our wedding to be as enjoyable as possible for all of our guests, including all parents! This is your night to let loose, eat, drink, and dance the night away while your little ones are safe at home.

Can I bring a date?

You will have a plus 1 if it is included in your invitation (this will be explicitly written). No pre-determined plus one, no date. Sorry!

Will there be an open bar?

Of course (who do you think we are?). Drink options are as follows: red wine, white wine, beer, seltzer, vodka, gin, bourbon, and a *surpise* specialty drink, courtesy of Jake Cerny

I have dietary restrictions. What food options are there?

Because we know some of our friends and family have specific dietary needs, we will have vegetarian and gluten-free options that will be labeled. We want to make sure everyone can have some of our delicious food!

What will the weather be like?

As of now, it will be slightly chilly in ATL! The high for Saturday is a sunny 51 degrees with a low in the 30's. The ceremony will be short (~10 minutes), but the cocktail hour will be partially outdoors. Please consider outerwear appropriately. There will be 3 large area heaters available, but a jacket/coat/pashmina may make you more comfortable (the bride will likely have a jacket on as well, so don't feel like it'll take away from your look!)
