What should I wear?
The dress code is Semi-Formal or cocktail attire. Our groomsmen will be sporting a classic black tux and our bridesmaids will be elegantly dressed in floor length mauve dresses.
What will the weather be like?
While we can't predict the weather, we are prepared for rain or shine. The ceremony will be held outside regardless of the weather, so please dress accordingly. In the worst case scenario, we will move the ceremony under a large tent. The walk from the parking lot to the ceremony spot is about 100 yards, so please come prepared with an umbrella. The cocktail hour, reception, and after party will be held indoors at the Double Tree- Cranberry.
What should we do if we are traveling from out of town?
We are so grateful you're able to make the journey for our special day! We have a hotel block of discounted rooms. The link can be found under the travel tab on this webpage. You can also call the hotel and ask for the "Baumgartner block". You can receive the discounted rate for more than 1 night if you so choose.
Are children welcome?
While we love your kiddos and think the world of your families, we are limiting our celebration to adults only. We'd love for you to consider this as a date night or mom and dads night off! The only kids who will be in attendance are those who will be involved in the wedding.
What is the wedding day itinerary?
You can find details about the day on our home page of this website. The ceremony will begin at 2:45 and will last about 20 minutes. After the ceremony we will ask for everyone in attendance to stick around and take a group photo in front of the pond. Once the group photo is complete, we ask that everyone except for the bridal party and immediate family members start to make their way back to the double tree for cocktail hour at 4pm. The reception will last until 11pm and an after party will take place in the hotel lobby bar until midnight.
What is there to do in the area?
Cranberry has a good amount of shopping including stores like: Tj Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods, Versona, Kohls, Dicks Sporting Goods, Target, Old Navy, White House Black Market, and more. If you're looking for a shopping mall the Ross Park Mall is located about 30 minutes south of the Double Tree.
If you are looking for somewhere to take a nice walk, Graham Park has a lovely 3 mile walking trail.
If you are looking for an upscale place to eat, Cranberry has many restaurants such as: Fire Birds, Off the Hook, Pizzaiolo, Napa Prime Steak Chophouse, Jimmy Wans.
Some additional restaurants may include, but not limited to: Chipotle, Tepache Mexican Kitchen, Saga Hibachi, ChiKN, Five Guys, Jimmy Johns, Mitch's BBQ, Burgatory, Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, Red Robin, Moe's Southwest Grill, and more.
Great Brunch/Breakfast places: First Watch, Bartram House Bakery, Panera, Cracker Barrel, Einstein Bros, Denny's, Eat'n Park, Marty's Original Bar & Grill (this is a dive bar so if you're looking for atmosphere I wouldn't suggest this place. However, they have a great breakfast and I highly recommend the food. Service can be a little slow so make sure you set aside 2 hours for 4-6 people).
If you're looking for a place to grab a drink: Jergel's Rhythm Bar, Censi's, Primanti Bros, and of course our favorite: North Park Lounge Bamboo Bar.
Will transportation be provided?
Only the Bridal Party will receive transportation to and from the ceremony.
Is parking available at the ceremony?
Yes, there is a parking lot available for all guests.
What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?
Our dinner will be buffet style, so it is very important to communicate any dietary restrictions prior to the wedding day. Please make sure to include any allergies or dietary restrictions on your RSVP. We will ensure the venue is aware so you can enjoy your meal with ease of mind.
Will there be an open bar?
Of course!
