~It always happens when you least expect it~

On a rainy afternoon less than two weeks after Erika moved back to Houston, James met Erika at Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company. Of course their dogs Disco and Charlie were along, and thus began their love story over pizza, a lot of barking, and beer.

The ensuing months were a montage of El Tiempo nachos, plenty of Uptown Sushi dates, long walks with the dogs, and so much laughter.

By Christmas, Erika's family both gifted and strongly encouraged James to learn how to use his work gloves at the ranch while James' family attempted to teach Erika about sports. Over the past 2 years, Erika and James have enjoyed many adventures together, including seeing the Rolling Stones in concert, several Houston Zoo trips, Astros and Texans home games, and attending a lot of destination weddings.

In October 2024, James rented out the rooftop suite at a historic hotel overlooking Downtown Houston and dropped a knee (not without Erika knowing in advance to wear white and have her hair and make up done). She said yes.

Now, the time has come for their best adventure yet—their wedding day!

They could not be more excited to share their wedding weekend with their closest family and friends. Let the party begin!
