Our Wedding

Danny and Erika first crossed paths at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) back in 2019. While we went to school together, our official relationship didn’t begin until after graduation. Our friendship, however, started right away. One of the earliest memories I have of Danny is from our Derivatives class. He was sitting on his laptop, casually playing video games, when the professor asked a question. Danny raised his hand, answered correctly, and then went right back to his game. I turned to my friend and said, "How does he do that?" My fondest early memory of Erika is during our Programming class. We were sitting together with a group of our friends, doing the assigned classwork when one of them said a joke. I don't remember what it was, but I remember Erika's response as clear as day. She stopped what she was doing, turned to him, and without missing a beat replied with something twice as funny. It was so unexpected, silly, and witty that I burst into laughter, fell out of my chair, and got in trouble. In early March 2020, UCI sent out an invitation to start an ALPHA (Association for Latino Professionals for America) chapter. Danny, Erika, and a few other graduate students volunteered. This is where our friendship really began to blossom. We worked together to negotiate with the school and set the foundation for the future ALPHA chapter. As time passed, our connection grew stronger. We bonded over our shared culture, interests, and experiences, and our friendship flourished. One of our fondest memories is when Danny invited Erika to a friend gathering. She asked him for Venezuelan food, but he admitted he couldn’t cook it. Instead, he ordered pizza. Erika teased him about it, but he quickly redeemed himself by buying an Arepa Maker or "Toste Arepas," and making me arepas from scratch. We still have that "Toste Arepa" to this day. Fast forward a few months, and on December 11th, 2020, we officially began our relationship. (This is why we chose December 11, 2025, as our wedding date.)Since then, we’ve hit many major milestones together: starting our first professional jobs after graduate school, traveling internationally, purchasing our first home, and so much more. And there are many more adventures to come!

OAK - Oakland international airport is about 51 miles from Napa. Oakland airport is one of two major airports in the San Francisco Bay area. While this airport is large, and slightly close to Napa, from MIA this airport will most likely require a layover. ﻿

SFO is about 59 miles away from Napa, however this is the largest airport in the San Francisco bay area, and the airport most likely to get a direct flight from MIA.
