We recommend flying into Naples (about a 1ish hour drive to the region of the venue)! While flights to Rome can be cheaper, 2025 is a "Jubilee" year for Italy, so it will be very chaotic in that city this summer.

Most guests are planning to arrive on June 23rd or earlier since it can take a day or two to adjust to the time difference.

From Naples Airport

From the Naples Airport, there are 3 great options to get to the villa. The easiest option is to reserve a private driver to take you directly from the Naples airport to your hotel (please let us know if you need information on drivers or are looking for other people to split a drive with). You can also either take a train from Naples to Paestum, or rent a car in Naples (make sure it's automatic unless you know how to drive manual!). However, know that driving around Naples near the airport can be a bit hectic.

*Bonus tip* Some of the nearby hotels have shuttle transfers from the airport to the hotel! (Check out Paestum Inn Beach Resort)

European Travel Tips

- Don't forget when looking at flights that you arrive a day later than you leave because of the time difference (e.g. if you depart the US on June 23 you'll arrive on June 24)

- Renew your passport early (Also note that passports expiring within 6 months of departure date might disrupt travel)

- Ordering Euros in advance from your bank can be really helpful especially to avoid foreign transaction fees on your credit card (unless you have a travel card)

- HIGHLY recommend packing just a carry-on size luggage and a backpack rather than a checked bag! You'll thank yourself on the cobblestone streets and stairs hehe

- When searching for flights, search for 1 connection OR 2 domestic connections (compared to 1 domestic connection and 1 international connection). *American Airlines just added tons of direct flights from the US to Naples*

- If you're staying in the Amalfi Coast before/after the wedding week, book lodging farther in advance as certain cities like Positano can book up quickly

- Download the Google translator app in advance to quickly translate things

- Research eSIM or international phone plan options (many phone carriers will offer coverage for $10/day or $100/billing cycle), but eSIMs can be cheaper

- Bring Dramamine for the car ride from Naples if you get car sick since the roads are quite curvy but BEAUTIFUL
