Our Story

My sister, Katie, is not only my co-Maid of Honor, but also my lifelong partner-in-crime. From sharing clothes and inside jokes to late-night talks and dance floor hype sessions, she’s always been my built-in bestie and biggest supporter.

My sister Megan is my co-Maid of Honor and my forever Target-run buddy. From giggles in the toy aisle to late-night heart-to-hearts, she’s been such a joy to watch grow up into the amazing woman she is today. Having her stand by my side means the world to me.

As Alex's former college roommate, Austin and Alex have been a rather troublesome pair, often getting themselves in all sorts of questionable (but hilarious) situations.  His ride-or-die partner, he's seen Alex across many stages of life, always being there for him and taking him on crazy road trips around the Appalachian Mountains. Now, he's ready to party at an amazing celebration!

Always coming up with the best jokes, Jon has been friends with Alex since his early college days. He's always been down for random travel adventures with Alex, with the two of them even going as far as Louisiana twice! Now, he's ready to impress the wedding crowd with his epic dance moves!

From summer vacations to the hardest days, she’s always been by my side. She’s more than a best friend—she’s family—and I couldn’t imagine this day without her.

Cayden and Alex have been partaking in random adventures together for years now. From hikes across corn mazes, stumbling upon A-list celebrities while hiking, cliff jumping, and seeing more cows than one could count, if there's an adventure in Pennsylvania, Cayden is the one for it!

Knowing each other since high school, and getting into college antics, if there's an excuse to hang out, Max is there. Max and Alex have also golfed more rounds than one could count (neither of them will be pro anytime soon). Now, he's ready to take his next *swing* at dancing at the wedding!

Not only has Richard gotten to know Alex in a professional setting, but they have gotten to become great friends! Working together at Butler, Richard and Alex spend their days as English teachers debating commas, bonding over "what even is this essay?" moments, and trying to convince teenagers that reading is cooler than TikTok. Now, Richard is ready to *teach* everyone some cool new dance moves!

Erin & Alex’s (Un)Official Pittsburgh Bucket List

No pressure to check them all off—but if you do, you’ll be honorary Yinzers by Monday.

Erin and Alex want you to know: if Phipps had a loyalty card, they’d have earned platinum status by now. Between the seasonal flower shows, the twinkly model trains in fall and winter, and the peaceful water features, it’s always their go-to date spot. Oh, and also the place where Alex dropped to one knee—so yeah, it’s kind of a big deal.

Erin and Alex want you to unleash your inner nerd here (they do, every time). You’ll find them at the Lego tables, battling over the best model train route, and casually house-hunting on Mars. Erin also uses the human body exhibits as a chance to give Alex a crash course in “Nursing School 101.” Science = fun, confirmed.

Erin and Alex want you to roar, splash, and repeat at this Pittsburgh staple. The zoo comes with a built-in bonus: a full aquarium! So you can say hi to the elephants and giraffes, then wander straight into a world of fish, sharks, and stingrays. Basically: two attractions for the price of one, and everyone’s happy.

Erin and Alex want you to eat your way through this neighborhood. The Strip is Erin’s happy place—quirky shops, international eats, and Grandpa Joe’s candy store (for kids and adults who think gummy worms count as lunch). Don’t skip Pamela’s Diner either: Alex swears their breakfasts are basically life-changing.

Erin and Alex want you to earn the most Pittsburgh bragging rights in under five minutes. Just hop on the incline, let the rickety little cable car haul you up the hill, and BOOM—skyline views that’ll knock your socks off. Extra points if you time it at sunset.

Erin and Alex want you to float through the city just like they did the day after their engagement! A river cruise on the Gateway Clipper is pure joy—skyline views, breezy decks, and all the celebration vibes. Bonus: everything feels fancier when you’re on a boat.
