Our story isn’t something you’d find out of a romance novel, but we wouldn’t want it any other way. Early of 2021, Erin had gotten out of a long term relationship. She decided she didn’t want to waste anytime finding someone to share her life with. She didn’t like the traditional dating apps and was too shy to try to meet someone in person. She started finding people on Facebook that were in the area. She came across Michael’s profile and thought he was cute. She sent the friend request and when he accepted she knew this guy was definitely a contender. As she scrolled through his page, she discovered how funny he was and they had a similar sense of humor. She decided to make the first move and sent him a quick “hey.” To her surprise, he responded pretty quickly. They started with some small talk, “whatcha doing?”, “what do you do for a living?”, “what’s your favorite color?” Ya know the usual stuff. It wasn’t very long until their sense of humor found each other and it was laugh after laugh. After many nights of talking on the phone and FaceTiming, they decided pretty quickly they needed to meet in person. They made plans to meet at the local Texas Roadhouse. There was of course some awkwardness at the beginning of the date, but it didn’t take long for them to realize the person they were sitting across from was the same person they were talking to constantly. After that night they really were inseparable. After 8 months of dating, Michael moved in with Erin and her dog Koda. Since then they have being growing their family with furr babies to love. Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, Michael proposed to Erin while they were down in Florida visiting Michael’s family. They had just enjoyed some ice cream and were taking family pictures in the parking when Michael got down on one knee and asked Erin to spend the rest of her life with him. She obviously happily said yes! They cannot wait to officially become a family and begin growing theirs together.
