Early in 2021, Kevin and Erin were both separately invited to a camping trip for the weekend of June 18-20 at Kittatiny Campground in Barryville, New York. Kevin was invited by his college roommate, Erique, who planned the trip with his fiance, Karissa. Karissa invited her college friends, including Erin's best friend from high school (and Maid of Honor), Haley. Kevin and Erin were unsure about attending the camping trip, but as the date came close, they both decided to attend. The rest is history.

At Kittatiny on Friday, Kevin did not bring a chair to sit around the fire and eventually stole Haley's seat, where he met Erin for the first time. The two chatted throughout the weekend and had a lot of fun getting to know each other. They chatted around the fire, hung out along the river, and had a great time tubing with the group. Kevin, who is fully capable of making his own S'mores, asked Erin to help him as an excuse to talk to her. While packing up camp on Sunday (Father's Day), Kevin went up to Erin and said, "Bye, Erin. Happy Father's Day!" Erin quickly went up the other girls and said, "Did Kevin wish anyone else a Happy Father's Day before he left?" The answer was no.

Monday afternoon Kevin texted Erin and asked her to go out for dinner. Their first date was the following Tuesday, which also happened to be Kevin's birthday. Although both were a little nervous, the evening flew by and was filled with non-stop talking and laugher. They both knew that what they found was special.

The rest of the summer, they found themselves going on many adventures including visiting local fairs, kayaking, hiking, going to the beach, and meeting each other's families. From early on, they both knew they had found "The One."

Since that weekend at Kitatinny, Kevin and Erin have enjoyed taking road trips, hiking, going to sporting events, playing board games, camping, being overly competitive at mini golf, and collecting Christmas ornaments everywhere they go. Kevin and Erin have had so much fun planning their wedding, and are looking forward to celebrating the best night of their lives with their friends and family.
