David and Erin have quite the unconventional start to their relationship, but have been through the highest of highs and lowest of lows together over the past 5 years, and are looking forward to a lifetime of love, joy and partnership together.

It was the spring of 2018, 3 months before Erin moved to Chicago, that she decided to download Hinge dating app “just to browse and delete.” It took all of 10 minutes for her to come across David’s page, and from there it was history. From daily text messages to daily facetimes and phone calls, a 3 month long virtual relationship was just the start of a forever partnership.

From the moment Erin met David, she knew she would immediately become a midwestern girl, although you can take the girl out of the East Coast, but you cannot take the East Coast out of the girl. After two weeks in Chicago, David asked Erin to be his girlfriend. If you know David, you know that he does not like to wait when he knows he wants something. After saying yes, Erin knew there was one thing she had to do: take this midwestern man who had never been to New York on a trip to New York! We did a 10 hour walking tour of every inch of NYC, from the Highline to Time Square to Brooklyn, and eventually later on that year we made our way out to the Hamptons, and it is safe to say that David is now well versed in the New York Minute lifestyle.

5 Years filled with many trips to New York, Arizona, family weddings, traveling around the states, hanging in Chicago and a lot of belly laughs. Through some tough times and challenges both in life and in the world, Erin and David have proven to have a bond that is special, unique and unbreakable, and the two are true partners in this thing we call life.

February 2023, David asked Erin’s dad for her hand in marriage. Fast forward to July 14, 2023 David asked Erin to marry him. A surprise and magical engagement on East Hampton Beach, to which Erin undoubtedly said yes. Erin and David cannot wait to live happily ever after, and are so very excited to celebrate this milestone with their loved ones.
