Once upon a time, two students met in an AP US History classroom. Much debate has been had over the effectiveness of the teacher in residence, but regardless, the connection made at the time was struck indefinitely. Though the two would not know it as mere juniors in high school, they would one day be inseparable.

In 2013, when Johanna was just a baby of sixth months, Erin set her sights on Juan Diego. He was intelligent, handsome, and loved to travel. He was a gentleman, who came from a loving and warm family. For several months, they enjoyed each others company, and watching baby Jo grow.

Although the pair had an undeniable affinity for each other, each had growing to do and dreams to chase. So, Juan Diego flew to New York for culinary school, and Erin stayed behind to study and raise Johanna.

The pair remained steadfast friends through the years, and always kept in touch. They talked each other through ups and downs, and shared music and movie recommendations that they thought the other would enjoy. While Erin knew she wanted more out of their relationship, she feared that ship may have left for sea with no hope of ever returning to port.

Fortunately, she was mistaken ;-)

When Juan Diego finally returned to Florida, Erin set her sights on him, crossing her fingers for realization of a love rekindled. Both knew they had a special love, one that could remain steadfast, even after 8 years apart. The pair reconnected, over a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board, and have been together ever since.
