10 miles of coastline on the iconic Ocean Drive. Marvel at magnificent houses and incredible rocky coast. There are a number of places to stop along the drive including Brenton Point State Park. We recommend Starting the drive from Bellevue Avenue and making your way along Ocean Drive back towards downtown Newport.
Newport's 3.5- Mile Cliff Walk combines the natural beauty of the Newport shoreline with the architectural history of Newport's gilded age. The walk starts at the western end of Easton's or First Beach at Memorial Blvd. and runs south with the first half the trail being a paved pathway between the ocean and gilded age mansions and the second half becoming more of a rocky path. One main stop is the 40 steps leading down closer to the water.
There are a number of historic mansions open to the public for tours in Newport. Built in 1895, The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial pre-eminence in the Gilded Age. You can do a self guided tour of the mansion, but we also suggest just driving down Bellevue Ave and viewing the number of historic gilded age mansions.
The International Tennis Hall of Fame is committed to preserving tennis history, celebrating its champions, and educating and inspiring a worldwide audience. This is great for both casual and committed Tennis fans. You can both walk around the impressive grounds as well as visit the museum.

Our favorite ice cream store on Aquidneck Island. There has been an ice cream spot in this location since the 1950's when it opened as Tastee Freez. Erin's favorite is a Soft Serve with flavor swirl and Luke's favorite is a sundae! This is cash only, but they do have an ATM on site.
