How it Started:

We both swiped right! LOL

We met each other in 2013 on the dating app, Plenty of Fish. We were both actively trying to find someone but work, and lack of time made dating difficult so online dating it was.

After talking on the phone and via Facebook Messenger for a few weeks, we met up for the first date at Clyde's in Chinatown DC. After ordering drinks and looking over the menu, we both decided that we wanted seafood, one of the many things that we have in common, so we decided to head across the street to Legal Seafood. Other than the seafood, we realized that we were both Aquarians, loved traveling, and were thankful that our "swipe right" brought us together.

How it's Going:

Fast forward a year and we were dating pretty steadily. We even worked together as high school teachers. The year was 2014 and, besides being a couple and colleagues, we found out we were going to be parents! We officially moved in together and, in June 2015, gave birth to a bouncing, baby boy! We were now a party of three!

We've traveled together, worked together, and are now traveling down this road called life together. On February 10, 2023, Erin's 41st birthday, while she was sadly lying in bed recovering from Covid, Jonathan proposed! It wasn't the proposal that either of us planned, Covid ruined the initial proposal, but somehow it was perfect.

On June 14, 2024, we will officially become Mr. and Mrs. Joseph!
