Our Story

In October of 2019, Isaiah and Erin met at a young adults group called Element through Sagebrush Church. Erin recognized him from an Instagram post the week before where his band shirt caught her eye. When they met, they instantly bonded over their love for that band, and many others. That night, Erin wrote in her journal that she had met the man she was going to marry. Their friendship grew throughout the years, and in 2023 Isaiah invited Erin to another church group called Collective. In that group, Isaiah and his friends welcomed her into their lives with open arms. God worked through this group and used it to deepen their faith, as well as their friendships. They both found a place where they truly belonged. That October they all decided to go to a haunted pumpkin patch in Moriarty called McCall's. It was that night, October 27th, 2023, that Isaiah first showed interest in Erin. The whole time it felt as if it were just them, and they were inseparable. Isaiah even bought Erin a cute little monster from the gift shop, surprising her as well as everyone there. That next week was filled with constant messages, hour-long phone calls, and lots of prayer. Looking back, they can see that God had been preparing and growing them separately, and even though it was hard, His timing was, and is, perfect. On November 4th, after hours spent at a Flying Star Cafe, they decided that they wanted to be together. Finally, after 4 years of waiting, Isaiah and Erin were dating! They spent the next few months deepening their relationship and getting to know each other in such a different and intimate way, and that quickly grew into love. They had decided early on that their relationship was going to be intentional and Christ centered. This reminded them of exactly who they were in Him, and how He had woven their stories together, even before they had ever met. This decision was the most amazing thing they could have done. Neither of them ever experienced a relationship quite like this, and they both knew it was God. Then the day finally came. On May 18th, 2024, Isaiah proposed! They were at a music festival watching their favorite country artist, Chris Young, with some of their friends. As the music played, and the artist talked to the crowd, Isaiah told Erin that he loved her and that she was his bestest friend. Everything else slipped her mind when she saw him on one knee, ring in hand, asking her to marry him. Since that day, they have continued to put Christ at the center of their lives. The love and connection that has grown in this season has been unlike anything else they had known before, and they thank God every single day for His faithfulness and His love. We both sincerely thank you all for being a part of our story, because we wouldn't be where we are today without your prayers, guidance, and friendship.

This Flying Star Cafe is the location of our first unofficial "date". It is where our relationship began and continues to be a place we go to talk about life.

This is one of our favorite sushi places! We often order from here for date nights at Erin's apartment. There are two locations, this being the one we frequent.

This is where Isaiah had part of his birthday party last year, and the night Erin first hung out with some of her now closest friends.

This is where the group ate dinner at said birthday party. It is a Japanese buffet, and it was super good! One of our friends ate somewhere around 42 pieces of sushi..

If you're a fan of Stranger Things, there are so many different places in town that were used in the making of the show, including Skate-O-Mania. This is where El... well, we won't spoil it for you!

Main Event is a great place to hang out with the family! They have bowling, laser tag, hanging obstacle courses, arcade games, and more!

The tram is beautiful at night, and even more so during the Balloon Fiesta season. The Sandia Mountains also have over 100 hiking trails along the Cibola National Forest.
