The story of Alec & Erin begins in the hallowed halls of Drackett Tower, circa 2017 at THE Ohio State University.

Alec was living in Drackett Tower during his freshman year of college as part of his Humanitarian Engineering Scholars group. As fate would have it, he would soon befriend the one and only, the incomparable Brian Ventruella, a fellow member of his engineering cohort and from there, the puzzle pieces began to fall together.

Brian originated from Pittsburgh, PA and upon his arrival to Columbus, Ohio he decided to made a pact with the one and only other person on campus who came from his hometown: the lovely Allina Molinaro. Brian made Allina swear that they would not speak to each other until their first Thanksgiving break as a way to ensure that they would each make new friends and start their college lives apart from each other. Allina agreed, and with this mindset she felt free to dive into the female friendships she was beginning to forge at the neighboring dorm, Torres House.

Torres House was home to the Women in Engineering learning community, the exact same community that Erin's older sister Lauren had been apart of during her time at tOSU. Erin, ever wanting to be JUST like Lauren, decided to join and when she moved in that warm August morning, she could never have imagined that by trying to walk in Lauren's shoes, she would gain lifelong friends and a husband to boot.

To make a long story short, the pact between Brian and Allina did not in fact last until that first fateful Thanksgiving. It lasted maybe a week or two tops when it was understood that Brian and The Boys needed to bring girls if they wanted any chance at getting into college parties. So one day, Allina tells Erin that her friend Brian is hosting some friends over at his dorm and invites Erin to tag along to meet her old friend from high school. Erin agrees and together they walk over to Drackett Tower, unbeknownst to them that it would be the beginning of forever for two very unsuspecting people.
