Our story actually begins in January 2014 before we even met each other. My friend, Kathryn, texted me while I was at work asking to post me on Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Singles. I laughed and allowed my friend to post all the juicy details about my life. Her post was thoughtful and cute, but there was not a single interest. Until...

I received an email from Kathryn on April 4th, just a few months later. It was forwarded from a guy who was interested in my Singles post on Kelly's Korner. I was having dinner with friends and was a little surprised to be receiving this email. I thought it over for several days and decided to casually email Jeremy back a few days later. That night my best friend, Amanda, and I thought through just the write email response. After that the ball got rolling pretty fast! Jeremy was an interesting guy and was a Christian and was a baseball player. I called that a Win!Win!Win! We quickly started talking on the phone and made plans to meet each other in person.

On the weekend of my 30th birthday, Amanda and I traveled to Atlanta for birthday festivities. I planned to meet Jeremy for dinner. He was actually picking me up from the hotel where we were staying. Amanda and I joked about the long hallway and how terrible it would be to walk down the long hall with Jeremy just standing at the end, especially since we'd never met each other. Thankfully, he'd thought of the same thing. He was standing to the side when I got to the lobby. I let out a huge sigh of relief because he was quite handsome! We ate cheeseburgers at a nearby restaurant and talked for several hours. The result was: boyfriend and girlfriend.

Because Jeremy moved to West Point shortly after our meeting, there have been quite a few trips back and forth to see one another. Each time has been so much fun. My favorite thing to do now is for us to go this little diner called Alexis. I call it our place. That's why I like it so much. We've watched a little bit of baseball, traveled into the city, spent Christmas together, eaten a TON of cookies, and loved every minute of it!

On Valentine's Day, Jeremy told me he loved me, to which I tearfully replied that I did too. I knew I wanted to marry that man before then. His love is such a strong and sweet reminder to me of the Lord's love for me. I may be stubborn and impatient, but Jeremy is calm and consistent.
