It was in September of 2018. After a few weeks of back and forth messaging and facetime conversations, Josh and Erin met for their first (lunch) date at Red Robin in Washington.
Erin would say it’s his piercing eye’s. Josh would say it’s her stunning beauty and gorgeous smile.
They sat for hours just talking and getting to know each other.
At the time, Erin had recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and had begun her quest of opening her own business.
Josh, a few years older than Erin, had entered his fifth year as a Pennsylvania State Trooper and juggling his career and fatherhood with his two young boys.
Life for them was crazy-busy! They both realized that it wouldn’t always be easy, and the road ahead would be demanding and at times, very difficult.
They also realized that they were right for each other.
The love was there; the commitment was there.
Josh will tell you that Erin made his house a home. He knew early on that Erin absolutely loves children and how they immediately connect with her. His boys were no different. They instantly and seamlessly bonded with her and love spending time with her.
It is important to have support and understanding in your personal life when you’re in law enforcement; Erin is Josh’s number one supporter.
Josh also admires and supports Erin’s ambition and drive to become a successful business owner.
Erin will tell you that Josh is like no other man she’s ever known. She finds him as the perfect father for his two boys; very loving and always involved. She is excited that they are currently a happy family of four but is even more excited for the future to expand the family with a few more little ones!
It is with Josh’s unwavering support and encouragement that she is building her own business in the beauty industry. She opened the doors of ESTETYKA, LLC in April of 2019.
Erin has a front row seat in the life of a state trooper. Some days and situations are unnerving because of a dangerous call or situation. She has developed such an appreciation for the great job he does and makes her proud every day!
It was August 12, 1961 when Erin’s maternal grandparents, Dennis & Shirley Zofchak were married at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands, PA. As they moved through their life together, the family became complete with three children; the middle child (Cathy) is Erin’s mother.
They would go on to spend thirty-seven wonderful years together when tragedy struck. Shirley, the matriarch & pillar of the family, lost her battle with brain cancer on October 17, 1998. Although Erin was only three years old at the time, she had spent a lot of time with her grandmother and recalls many fond memories.
Sixty years after her grandparents married, and in memory of her late grandmother, Erin will wear the same wedding gown that her grandmother wore.
The original gown remained completely intact, including the original hoop and petticoat. However, the outer shell of the gown proved to be too delicate to wear.
A wonderful seamstress, Cindy Fuller was able to replicate the outer overlay that made it possible for Erin to wear her grandmother’s gown.
As Erin walks down the aisle, she will be carrying a white bible with her bouquet. The exact same white bible her grandmother carried sixty years earlier.
It should also be noted…
Erin’s veil is the same veil worn by her mother thirty-two years ago on her wedding day:
April 29, 1989.
Erin’s mother also wore the gown and carried the bible.
