Our Wedding

We met at Lake Region State College in 2017. We were both busy with sports, so it wasn't until January 2018 that Jake finally broke the ice and talked to me for the first time. After talking for a while, Jake asked me to be his girlfriend on July 1st, 2018. We did long distance from 2018 until the summer of 2022, we moved to Fargo and rented our first house together. In spring 2022, we bought our best friend Millie the Aussiedoodle. In January 2024, we bought our first home together in West Fargo. The ProposalOn July 27th, 2024, we went on a weekend trip to Duluth, MN. We went on a few hikes that day. Our final hike was at Gooseberry Falls. We walked around the three different falls for a bit. We finally returned to the lower falls because not many people were around. Jake asked if I wanted to take a picture, and I said, "Nah, I'm good," since I was hangry. After walking around for a while, I was ready to leave. Luckily, a couple came up to us and asked for us to take their picture. Once Jake took their picture, he asked them to take ours and told them to keep snapping away because he had a ring. We took a few pictures, and Jake then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the easiest "yes" ever!
