This is how Jared and Erin met! They were both involved with Students UKnight at Wartburg College. While both Jared and Erin do not remember the exact moment they met, they know it was through an event or meeting with this organization. Thanks Students UKnight!

Jared and Erin both decided to go on a Service Trip to Denver, CO and this is where they started to get to know one another!

Jared and Erin came back from a summer apart and decided to continue getting to know one another. That eventually led to their first date!

After a few months of dating, Jared asked Erin to be his girlfriend the night of January 9th, 2019!

Erin brought Jared to MN for a hometown date - they visited Minnehaha Falls, the Como Zoo and The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden!

Erin traveled to Denver, CO to visit Jared while he attended Wartburg West the summer of 2019.

Jared took Erin to her first Iowa Football game!

Erin graduated from Wartburg College!

Even with the ongoing pandemic, Jared and Erin found ways to get outside and enjoy each day!

Most days spent on the deck ended with Erin winning games!

Jared graduated from Wartburg College in May 2021!

AND Jared revealed he had been Sir Victor, the Wartburg school mascot, for the past four years!

As the summer months went on, Erin was growing suspicious (& a bit impatient) wondering when Jared was going to pop the question.

Erin & Jared went to Luna Valley Farm in Decorah for Erin's Birthday. Erin thought it would've been a gorgeous place to get engaged! The impatience continued to grow...

Erin had no idea what this day was going to bring (literally no idea, she missed all the signs)! Jared got down on one knee and asked Erin to marry him - right on campus, where they had met four years ago.

The day could not have been more perfect. Jared had planned both families to be there to surprise Erin after the proposal. It was the best day ever!

To add to all of the excitement, Jared and Erin bought a house in the spring of 2022 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

The couple enjoyed taking engagement photos & cannot wait for their wedding day!
