Our Wedding

One Saturday in August of 2013 Erin was invited to her friend Dan's house where there was a cheese tasting party. Erin went to the party and ended up meeting a nice young gentleman named Drew. They mingled and chatted for a little while at the party, but then parted ways, until... One Friday, in December of 2013, Drew's friend Justin invited him to a local bar, the Old North Ender, to watch Jeopardy and have some beers with friends. Among the people at the bar that Friday night was Erin. For a several weeks a group would meet on Friday's to have beers and watch Jeopardy. Then one night, as others were heading home, Drew asked Erin if she wanted to stay and hang out with him a little longer, and she did! The relationship developed and grew over the next few months, but eventually they decided they liked each other enough and have been together since spring of 2014!

Kelly is Erin's younger (and only) sister. She's also one of Erin's very best friends and Erin couldn't be happier to have her sister by her side on this very important day.

Drew and Nick have been friends since they were 5. Both lovers of music, they often attend shows together, and love chilling with a beer listening to some good vinyl. Nick is a great friend, and truly the best man.

Devon and Erin met at work and have been great friend's for more than 10 years now.  Erin is so grateful to have Devon and her family in her life, and is honored to have Devon by her side on this day.

Drew and Ian met in middle school and have been friends for over 20 years. They both enjoy good music, good beer, and a good conversation (or debate). Drew is honored to have Ian standing with him on this special day.

Erin met Aislyn only a few years ago, but they quickly bonded and have become very close friends. Aislyn is there for Erin whenever she needs someone to talk to, and is always prepared with wine, snacks and an open ear.

Drew met Dan in college where they shared an off-campus apartment. Dan has become a regular fishing buddy during the summer, and they often cook together (especially over an open fire) for Erin and Dan's wife Aislyn. Erin and Drew are thankful to have both Dan and Aislyn as friends and in their wedding.

Avery and Erin met many years ago when they were working together at Gardener's Supply. Several years ago Avery moved to Portland, OR, and as they say "absence makes the heart grow fonder". Even though they now live thousands of miles apart (2371.86 to be exact), they have grown closer through the distance and Erin is delighted to round out her bridesmaids crew with this gem of a person.

Kyle and Drew grew up in different towns, but met through mutual friends in middle school, and have been great friends for many years. When you get these two together they can talk endlessly, whether they are digging holes and putting up a fence, or just drinking a couple beers in the yard. Kyle was an obvious choice to stand with Drew on his wedding day.

This is our wedding venue! **February 2022 Update: Unfortunately all rooms we had blocked at the lodge are booked. It doesn't hurt to check and see if any non-wedding guests have canceled reservations, but likely other accommodations will need to be made. Rooms are limited. We have a small number blocked off. Hubbardton Battlefield State Historic Site

Nestled away in the forests of 3,500-acre Bomoseen State Park&nbsp;sits the quiet camping area of Half Moon Pond State Park. The park is located in the dense woods of a small, sheltered basin, surrounding Half Moon Pond.&nbsp;Hiking: The park has a vast trail system, offering hikes for all ages and abilities.Swimming: There are two small, sandy beaches great for sunbathing and swimming.Fishing: Lots of great fishing opportunities on Half Moon Pond.

Half Moon Pond State Park

The 3,576-acre park is located in the Taconic Mountains on the shores of Lake Bomoseen, the largest lake entirely within Vermont’s borders. Hiking: Several hiking trails, including one to Half Moon State ParkSwimming: Bomoseen has a sandy beach for swimming and a snack bar.Boating: There is a boat launch at the park and boats are welcome. Boats are also available to rent (kayaks, canoes, pedal boats and row boats).Fishing: Lake Bomoseen offers great fishing opportunities. Trout, perch and bass are among some of the species that can be found.

Motor boats (fishing, pontoon, and runabouts), paddle boards and kayaks all available to rent at nearby Woodard Marine. Renters must be at least 24 years old with a boating license in hand to rent a motor boat.

The Delaware &amp; Hudson Rail Trail is a 19.8 mile section of former railroad bed in western Rutland and Bennington counties, leased to the Department of Forests, Parks &amp; Recreation by the Agency of Transportation for use as a recreational trail. The trail is in two sections – one between Castleton and Poultney, the other between West Pawlet and Rupert. The two Vermont sections are separated by a portion of trail in New York.Trail access is available at Castleton State College or along Main Street in Castleton and in Poultney village adjacent to the old train station on Depot Street.
