Yes, Erin and Chris met serendipitously on a dating app...
It was winter in Boston — the record-breaking winter of 2014–2015, when over 100 inches of snow fell. Erin was a 19-year-old freshman at MassArt; Chris was 20, working full-time and going to school at night. They matched on Tinder and had their first date at Life Alive in Cambridge — the perfect spot for two former vegetarians.
That snowy winter, they explored a city buried under mountains of snow — grabbing gyros from Mama’s, sledding down Mission Hill, and cozying up for movie marathons while the world outside stood still. Their time snowed in together, with classes canceled week after week, helped strengthen the easy, happy partnership they had found in each other.
Since then, they’ve built a life together: surviving late-night drives, moving into their first apartment (and living in Chris’s dad’s basement — character building!), and eventually settling into a cozy old mill building in Lowell with their beloved, mischievous dog, Marco.
Erin makes sure they're always getting outside, soaking up the world around them. Her love of exploring — whether it's flavors, stories, or new places — has kept their days full of laughter, discovery, and a whole lot of good food.
Chris, with his superpower sense of direction, has patiently guided Erin — who would happily get lost even with GPS — through these adventures. Making sure wherever it is they’re going, that they get there.
Over the past 10 years, they’ve grown and changed, but never grown apart — best friends then, now, and always.
Now, they're ready for their next chapter: marriage!
