Our Wedding

It all started at a New Year’s Eve party five years ago. The theme was the Roaring Twenties, and the night glittered with flapper dresses, feathered headbands, and sharp suits reminiscent of a bygone era. Neither of us had high hopes for the evening. We were both going through the motions, mingling with strangers and sipping champagne as the clock ticked toward midnight. But then, in the swirl of music and laughter, our paths crossed. A simple question, "Is this seat taken?", quickly turned into a conversation that felt like stepping out of time altogether. As we began to exchange stories, it became apparent that neither of us had anticipated finding anyone that night who made us want to linger. But linger, we did. Right before the clock struck midnight, as the countdown began, we shared a moment that seemed to say, This is the start of something. A few days later, we had our first date—a simple drink that stretched into dinner and ended with the certainty that this was something special. The months that followed were a whirlwind of connection. We laughed, grew closer, and began building something steady and strong. Then, in early 2020, the world changed. The pandemic swept in like a storm, halting life as we knew it. Suddenly, seeing each other became complicated, fraught with risks and restrictions. But where others might have faltered, we persevered. We found ways to stay connected, even in the face of lockdowns and uncertainty. Sometimes it was a socially distanced meeting, where the sound of our voices carried across the space between us. Other times, it was stolen moments in a car or on a doorstep. Even when all we had was a few minutes, those minutes were enough. As the world began to reshape itself into a new normal, so did we. The challenges of those early days taught us something profound: no matter how unpredictable the world might become, we could count on each other. Today, we stand together as partners who have weathered storms and embraced joy, who have learned to navigate love in an uncertain world. Because while so much about life is unknown, one thing remains constant: our unwavering certainty in each other. This love story, born in the glitz of a Roaring Twenties-themed New Year’s Eve, has grown into something timeless—a testament to resilience, connection, and the kind of love that endures through it all.

Not all sunscreens are created equal

Bio-degradable sunscreens are the ONLY sunscreens allowed in Riviera Maya. You can buy reef-safe sunscreens online beforehand. Some health food stores may carry reef-safe sunscreens, but may not be widely available. If you attempt to buy at the resort it will be extremely overpriced.

Schedule Dinner Reservations on Day One 

The popular a la carte restaurants tend to fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Get your reservations set as soon as you arrive to guarantee seats at the resort's best dining options!

Follow the Dress Code!

Each restaurant will typically have its own dress code.&nbsp;Casual places may allow flip-flops and swimsuit coverups. Meanwhile, nicer restaurants may require dresses, collard shirts, or dress shoes.&nbsp;Do your research, and dress appropriately.
