Tony (Hector) and I first spoke online, I had just about given up on online dating when we stumbled upon each other's profile. Our first date was one to remember, he accidentally sent me to the wrong Mexican Restaurant, though he was just down the street. We kept telling each other we were out in front until I sent him a photograph of the restaurant I was at (the one he told me to meet him at), he arrived a few minutes later. Our first date ended with going back to his jiujitsu gym to watch a UFC fight where a bunch of his members were attending. I was immediately welcomed into his jiujitsu family.

We immediately clicked and I began doing drop ins at his gym for open mats and classes. How many people can say they found their significant other with a lot of similar hobbies, and the main one to include the art of folding clothes with people still inside them.

It was only fitting that when he proposed, it was at his grand opening of HERO Jiu Jitsu in front of his family that flew up from the Dominican Republic.
