Chris & Erin met during their senior year of college, when Ford Motor Company flew them each to Detroit, Michigan for interviews held at their Conference & Event Center in Dearborn. They were placed in the same group interview. Afterwards, while waiting for shuttles to the airport, Erin noticed Chris’s Wisconsin athletics bag tag & asked if he was also an athlete. Quickly finding common ground, they each determined the other was alright, which led Chris to ask Erin if she’d like to grab a beer once they got to the airport. Four hours later, it was time for their flights; their DTW bar crawl had come to an end, & they went their separate ways. Both received & accepted offers from Ford. Erin began her career in Chicago, while Chris began his in Royal Oak. Two years later, Erin moved to RO, & Chris invited her over to his place, the Pleasant House (commonly known & referred to as a frat house), to pregame & hit the bars with his friend group on her first weekend in town. She denied the pregame but joined at the bars & became fast friends with a new group of wonderful people that made Michigan feel like home. No moves were made that night, & the two became great friends (the foundation of a truly great relationship, they would argue). It wasn’t until over a year later that they finally kissed. To this day, neither will admit to having been the one to make the first move, but they’re sure as hell happy someone did.
