What is the dress code for your welcome party?
While the welcome party is at a country club, things are much more casual in Colorado. Jeans are perfectly acceptable. While there is absolutely no pressure to do so, we welcome our guests to wear festive western wear to the welcome party! Think bolo ties, cowboy hats, boots, etc,
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Cocktail attire! Short or long dresses for women and suits for men.
Our wedding day will be very traditional, but bring out all the fun western gear the night before!
What weather should we expect?
November in the mountains ranges from 30-60 degrees. While we're hoping for the usual sunny blue-sky day, there is always the possibility of a little snow. We'd recommend keeping an eye on the weather the week before for more accurate temps, but plan to bring a jacket. Our cocktail hour will be semi-outdoors!
During your visit, you will likely want to bring a jacket and light sweaters or sweatshirts. Denver is typically warmer than the mountains, so pack layers if you plan to do any hiking or mountain adventures.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding will be primarily indoors! We will have a traditional church wedding, followed by an outdoor heated cocktail hour and and indoor reception. Though we will have heaters and potentially additional coverage during the cocktail hour, we recommend bringing a jacket or wrap to enjoy the scenery comfortably.
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
Due to limited capacity at our venue, we'd ask that you follow the invitation address, only bringing a plus-one if explicitly noted.
Are my children welcome for your big day?
While we love your little ones, we'd ask that this event remain adults only.
I'm nervous about altitude! How can I prepare?
Don't stress! Our hotel is just a bit higher elevation than Denver which will allow you time to acclimate. We recommend drinking LOTS of water the day before you arrive and throughout the weekend - that is the best cure! If you're still nervous, the local groceries sell oxygen boosts that we've heard people like.
Will there be transportation provided?
We will have busses available from our hotel block to and from all wedding events on Friday! Busses will pick up at the Origin Hotel at 2pm and return back to the Origin at the end of the night (option for 9pm or 10pm departure time). They will not return to the hotels between the ceremony and the reception.
We will ask guests to find their own arrangements to all other events throughout the weekend. Please note that Ubers are available closer to the city, but can be challenging, especially in Evergreen. We recommend carpooling when possible or renting a vehicle for the weekend.
Will you be able to accommodate dietary restrictions?
Of course! We want everyone to be comfortable and fed! If you do not feel like your dietary needs are met with our RSVP, please reach out directly!
I have travel questions!
We've posted lots of tips and tricks under the "travel" and "things to do" tabs! If you still have questions, feel free to reach out and we can help! There is plenty to do and see and we want this to be as easy as possible.
