Our Wedding

A Story of Love and Logistics 

It all began where all love stories begin...at a Dallas brunch in 2019, where Greg and Erin met through Erin's roommates. They hit it off as friends, but little did they know an epic adventure was just around the corner. By 2020, the world was changing, and Erin was talking too much about her desire for a road trip. Greg, the ever-encouraging encourager, told her, "Don't just talk about it; be about it." With his millennial spirit, he took his conversation outside of Snapchat and into the verbal world and volunteered as her travel buddy. Not doing anything modestly, Erin sold her house, and off they went, barely knowing each other's last names but ready for the adventure of a lifetime. For over 30 days, they explored the western U.S., sleeping in tents, hotels, cars, and hammocks. They shared countless laughs, had some heated "discussions", fled sketchy campsites, endured near-heatstroke hikes, enjoyed beach sunsets and saw more stars than Greg cared to see (he had already seen them...). Along the way, they met friends and Erin's entire extended family. Everyone was convinced they would end up dating - except for Greg and Erin, who were just enjoying the ride. After 8,000 miles on the road, the short 40-mile trip from Newton to Hattiesburg was too much for Greg. This presented the two with the opportunity to have dinner at Greg and Aaron's restaurant, Zack Garvin's where Erin met many of Greg's family and friends in the process. Their farewell was awkward after spending so much time together, but something had changed. According to Greg (a much sweeter version), their separation made them realize how much they missed each other. They started texting, and Greg soon asked Erin out on a real date. The romantic date night ended up very on-brand for the two and was a wild night at Nick &amp; Sam's, where Erin was introduced to Greg's whole Dallas crew. It finally became clear to the two: if they could survive 30+ days on the road as friends, they were meant to be. Once the true loves, the fur babies - Jax and Finn - were introduced and decided they were ready to take the leap of no longer being only children, the story blossomed. Deciding to move in together, they chose the road less traveled - literally. They continued their journey across the US, adding a sprinter van to the mix, exploring the West to East coast. On February 2nd, 2024, Greg made their adventurous life official by proposing to Erin. And so, their journey together continues filled with love, laughter and endless adventure.

This hotel is located right in downtown Whitefish, and it is walkable to all shops and restaurants.

The Firebrand Hotel

The closest airport to Whitefish is FCA (Glacier Park International Airport). This flies into Kalispell, which is a 15-20 minute ride to Whitefish. Please keep in mind that Ubers are not as frequent as big cities, so please look at the transportation options.

Glacier Park International Airport

An alternative option is MSO (Missoula International Airport), which is just under 2 hours from Whitefish. This airport has more flight options, but would definitely recommend renting a car.

Missoula Montana Airport

The most adventurous option is BZN (Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport) if you plan on tacking on a Yellowstone adventure. This is about a 5-hour drive to Whitefish.
