Who would’ve thought we’d end up here?! I didn’t! But God sure knew what he was doing.

We didn’t realize this at the time, but the first time Ben and I met we were about 14 or 15 years old. I had gone dove hunting with my Dad and cousin Josh. That day we ran into Ben, who was friends with Josh.

Fast forward about 5 years, and we met again for the second time! This time in nursing school. I was attending a CPR class for my last semester of school and Ben walks in. At the time, I was sitting next to the teacher and Ben walks over and asks if he can sit there. LOL! The teacher gladly moved to the head of the table to teach, and Ben sat down beside me. The first words that were ever exchanged were “Hi, I’m Ben.” Which in suit mine followed… “Hey, I’m Erin.” Nothing ever came of this then, but it would eventually. He had asked a classmate who I was and later followed me on social media.

Another year goes by, and this is when he finally made his move. He asks me on a date! July 24, 2019 is where the real story began because this is when we finally started talking on the phone and going on dates.

January 20, 2020 is when we started “going steady”, if you will. Since then we’ve learned that we have so much in common. Between our love for outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking, love of animals, etc. He quickly assumed the role of #1 Dog Dad! We’ve found that we have so much fun together and make a great team!

August 2, 2024 will forever be a day to remember. This is what brings us to where we are now! A wedding! The day he asked me to marry him. I thank God every day for the experiences we have had to lead us here and all of the opportunities for growth in our relationship. I am so excited to be his future wife, and am so happy y’all get to be a part of this journey with us. :)
